UCI Gran Fondo World Championships Camp 2027

UCI Gran Fondo World Championships Camp 2027

The 2027 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships take place in Haute-Savoie, between Thônes and La Clusaz. This is the camp the whole reset cc season builds toward. The time trial on Sunday 22 August covers 12.7 km with 432 m of climbing, from Thônes through Saint-Jean-de-Sixt to the finish in La Clusaz. The road race on Tuesday 24 August covers 115 km with 3,256 m of climbing. It crosses the Plateau des Glières, which includes a gravel sector of almost 2 km, then the Col des Fleuries, the Brizon climb and the Col de la Colombière before the final climb to La Clusaz. The medio fondo for the older age categories covers 80 km with 2,150 m. The camp runs from about 15 to 25 August, with a team base in the Aravis, course recons in race week and staff for both races. The taper happens the week before, so race week is a normal training week with recons. The day-by-day plan below is proposed and will be confirmed. To start, you need a qualifying result from a UCI Gran Fondo World Series event. On the reset cc calendar that means Millars, Istria, Neusiedlersee, Sudety or Franja.

Who can race the 2027 Gran Fondo Worlds

Places go to riders who qualify at a UCI Gran Fondo World Series event, with a finish in the top 25% of starters in their age and gender category. Under the current UCI rules each qualifier counts for its own discipline at Worlds. On the reset cc calendar the qualifiers before Worlds are The Millars, Istria, Neusiedlersee, Sudety and Franja.

Craig Ferguson qualified at The Millars with the reset cc team in 2026 and raced the World Championships in Japan for Canada. Read how he got there.
