The Millars Gran Fondo 2027 Race Camp
The Millars is the first UCI Gran Fondo World Series qualifier of the 2027 season and the first race camp on the reset cc calendar. The race starts and finishes in Castellón on Sunday 14 March. The course covers 157 km with 2,200 m of climbing. The two key climbs are the Puerto de Aín and the Salto del Caballo. These figures come from the 2026 route, which is provisional for 2027. You arrive on Wednesday, ride the course in recon with your coaches over two days, set your pacing and fueling plan, and race on Sunday with staff at the start and on course. A finish in the top 25% of starters in your age group qualifies you for the World Championships in Thônes and La Clusaz in August. Whether a road-only qualifier also counts for the time trial will be confirmed against the 2027 UCI regulations.

The Millars Gran Fondo 2027 course
The Millars UCI Gran Fondo starts and finishes in Castellón de la Plana, on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. The 2027 edition is on Sunday 14 March and is part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series. The course details below come from the organiser’s 2026 route. The 2027 route has not been published yet, so treat them as provisional.

The key climbs
Puerto de Aín, km 37 to 43. 5.8 km at an average of about 4%, from 350 m to 580 m. The road climbs gently for most of the first 37 km as the course heads inland, so you reach the foot of the climb already about 350 m above the sea.
Salto del Caballo, km 78 to 87. 8.8 km at an average of about 5%, from 320 m to 780 m, with its steepest kilometre at around 8%. It is the longest and steepest climb of the day. The second feed station is at its foot, at km 77.
Technical sections
The descent from the Salto del Caballo includes a series of hairpins at around km 91, and there are tight bends through a town at around km 101. After the last feed at km 117 the course is mostly downhill back to the coast, with a short rise at around km 133, a stretch of rough road at around km 146 and urban roads for the final kilometres into Castellón.

Qualifying for Gran Fondo Worlds at The Millars
The Millars is a qualifier for the 2027 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Thônes and La Clusaz, Haute-Savoie. A finish in the top 25% of starters in your age and gender category qualifies you. Whether a road race qualification also covers the time trial will be confirmed against the 2027 UCI regulations.

The reset cc race camp runs from 10 to 15 March 2027, with dates to be confirmed. You ride the course in recon with your coaches, set your pacing and fuelling plan for each climb, and race on Sunday with staff at the start and a team feed on course.
