USA Masters Road Nationals 2027: what we know
The USA Cycling Masters Road National Championships award the Stars and Stripes jersey in the time trial, road race and criterium for every five-year age group from 35 up. USA Cycling has not announced the 2027 host city or dates yet. We will update this page when it does.
The 2026 championships
Dates: 27 June to 1 July 2026
Host: Tour of America’s Dairyland, in the Milwaukee area of Wisconsin
Criteriums: Milwaukee and Wauwatosa
Time trial: Columbus, Wisconsin, 13.5 miles for most masters age groups and 10.5 miles for 65 and over
Road races: Fall River, Wisconsin
The 2025 championships were also held in southeast Wisconsin, and the 2024 edition was in Augusta, Georgia, so the host changes.
Who can race
Masters racing starts at 35, and your racing age is your age on 31 December of the championship year. You cannot race up or down an age group. In 2026, men aged 35 to 54 and women aged 35 to 44 needed a category 1 to 3 licence for the road race and criterium, and there was no category limit for the time trial. Riders with elite status or on a UCI registered team could not enter. The full rules, including the citizenship and residency rules for the national title, are in USA Cycling’s 2026 eligibility document.
Registration
In 2026 entries were on BikeReg, and preregistration closed a few days before racing. Riders who missed it lost their call-up position. For reference, the 2026 schedule announcement came out in December 2025.
Racing Nationals with reset cc
Masters Nationals is on our calendar for our American riders. It is a race, not a team camp. You enter and travel directly, and your coach fits it into your season around the World Series qualifiers and the build to the Gran Fondo World Championships in August.
