The Gran Fondo course and gravel sectors
About 30% of the Gran Fondo is on gravel. There are no long mountain climbs, but many short, steep ramps, and the hardest of them are on the gravel. On the 2026 route the sectors came in this order:
Vidritta around km 20
Bagnaia around km 28, with a climb that reaches 15%
Radi around km 40
Piana around km 50
Serravalle around km 58
San Martino in Grania around km 70, the longest sector, with a long climb that reaches 12%
Guistrigona around km 102
Monteaperti around km 113
Colle Pinzuto around km 118, up to 15%
Le Tolfe around km 124, up to 18%
Colle Pinzuto and Le Tolfe come late and are steep, and the finish is in the Piazza del Campo. The organiser’s English pages give 2,000 m of climbing and the Italian route page gives 2,200 m, so plan for the higher figure.

Racing Strade Bianche with reset cc
Strade Bianche is not a UCI Gran Fondo World Series qualifier, so on our calendar it is an optional race, with no team camp. It falls one week before The Millars, the first qualifier of our season, so riders who do both need a plan for the week in between. Your coach builds that with you, and you enter and travel directly. Check availability on the official site before you plan around it.
